Stitch When You Are by My Side, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a mother holds her little daughter close in a warm hug, in front of a big bouquet of pink, orange and yellow flowers. Worked in 35 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a mother's hug was said to be the strongest charm against every trouble in the world. Stitchers say this one lasts for ever.

Why this kit: if you love tender family designs, this mother and daughter picture is sweet and meaningful to stitch. A perfect Mother's Day gift, and a pair with RTO's grandma and granddaughter design.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 35 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the faces and hair, then the pale dresses. Finish with the colourful flowers behind them.

Finished size: 15.5×24 cm (6.1×9.45 in). A tender family picture to frame and a heartfelt Mother's Day gift.
