Stitch The Sea of My Dreams, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a girl with flowing auburn hair sits on the rocks by the sea, hugging her knees, as seagulls fly past a white lighthouse and the waves glow in soft sunset colours. Worked in 39 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: sitting by the sea and dreaming was said to send your wishes out with the tide, to come back true. Stitchers say this girl's dreams are already on their way.

Why this kit: if you love the sea and dreamy portraits, this seaside scene is calm and a joy to stitch. A lovely gift for dreamers and beach lovers.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 39 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the girl, her hair and her red trainers, then the rocks. Finish with the lighthouse, the seagulls and the glowing sea.

Finished size: 22.5×28 cm (8.86×11.02 in). A dreamy seaside picture to frame and a thoughtful handmade gift.
