Stitch Dance, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a white crane spreads its wings wide as it dances in golden grass, in front of a huge orange setting sun. Worked in 32 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: in the East, a dancing crane is a symbol of long life and happiness, and seeing one was said to bring a thousand years of luck. Stitchers say this dance lasts for ever.

Why this kit: if you love birds and bold, graphic sunsets, this dancing crane is striking and satisfying to stitch. A lovely gift for bird lovers and a meaningful wish for a long, happy life.

Kit includes: 16-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 32 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the crane's white wings and red crown, then its long legs. Finish with the orange sun, the sky and the golden grass.

Finished size: 14.5×21.5 cm (5.71×8.46 in). A striking bird picture to frame and a meaningful handmade gift.
