Stitch Cosy Hugs, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a cheerful grandmother in red glasses, a green hat and a fluffy coat holds a whole armful of ginger and grey cats, smiling happily in a warm, cosy room. Worked in 40 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a house with a grandmother and a lap full of cats was said to be the luckiest house in the street. Stitchers say this one has more than enough to share.

Why this kit: if you love cats and funny, heart-warming characters, this cat grandma is full of joy and a pleasure to stitch. A perfect gift for every cat-loving grandmother.

Kit includes: 14-count Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 40 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with her face and red glasses, then the ginger and grey cats. Finish with her green hat, fluffy coat and the cosy room behind.

Finished size: 20.5×20.5 cm (8.07×8.07 in). A heart-warming picture to frame and a perfect gift for a cat-loving granny.
