Stitch Forest Road to Mountains, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a sunlit road winds through tall pines and birches towards a blue mountain peak, with bright sunshine breaking through the trees. Worked in 49 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a road through the forest towards the mountains was said to lead to wherever your heart was set on going. Stitchers say this one leads somewhere wonderful.

Why this kit: if you love forests, mountains and walking, this sunlit road is fresh and rewarding to stitch. A lovely gift for hikers and travellers.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 49 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the dark pines and birch trunks, then the sunlit road. Finish with the blue mountain, the sunshine and the sky.

Finished size: 27×20 cm (10.63×7.87 in). A fresh forest picture to frame and a lovely gift for walkers.
