Stitch Gift for Beloved, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a bunch of fresh spring tulips in red, pink, orange and deep purple, with long green leaves, standing in a clear glass vase of water. Worked in 36 colours of DMC stranded cotton for soft, realistic petals and glass.

A little stitcher's folklore: tulips are the flowers of spring and of declared love — red tulips in particular were given to say "believe me". Stitchers say a bouquet that never wilts is the best way to say it forever.

Why this kit: if you love flowers, this tulip bouquet is a beautiful, fresh piece for any room, and a heartfelt project to make for someone special. A lovely gift for Mother's Day, anniversaries and spring birthdays.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 36 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the tulip heads, working each flower's darker edges first, then add the leaves and stems. Stitch the glass vase and water last, with its pale blue-green shading.

Finished size: 19×23 cm (7.48×9.06 in). A fresh floral picture to frame and a heartfelt handmade gift.
