Stitch Quiet Bay, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a Mediterranean harbour town of white and pastel houses with terracotta roofs, little boats moored along the quay, all reflected in calm blue water. Worked in 45 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: fishermen said a calm bay at evening meant a good catch tomorrow, and a painted boat by the quay brought the house luck. Stitchers say this bay is always peaceful.

Why this kit: if you love the Mediterranean and seaside towns, this detailed harbour is a rewarding stitch full of colour and reflections. A lovely gift for travellers and sea lovers.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 45 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the houses and roofs, then the boats. Finish with the long reflections in the water, blending the colours downward.

Finished size: 28×19 cm (11.02×7.48 in). A sunny harbour picture to frame and a memorable gift for travellers.
