Stitch Dancing with Snowflakes, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a little girl in red boots, a grey coat and a big white scarf twirls in the falling snow while a white puppy jumps up to join her. Worked in 16 colours of DMC stranded cotton on grey Aida, which gives a soft, snowy sky.
A little stitcher's folklore: catching the first snowflake on your tongue was said to bring a wish come true for the winter. Stitchers say this girl and her puppy have caught plenty.
Why this kit: if you love sweet winter scenes, this is a joyful, quick stitch that's perfect for December decor. A lovely gift for a child's room, dog lovers and Christmas — and it pairs with RTO's Skating.
Kit includes: 14-count grey Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 16 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.
Start with the girl's face and red boots, then her coat and scarf. Add the puppy and the little snowflakes last — the grey fabric is the sky.
Finished size: 17×21 cm (6.69×8.27 in). A cheerful winter picture to frame and a sweet Christmas gift.
