Stitch Among Black Cats, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a sleek black cat with yellow eyes is cradled in two white hands, its body curving in a bold, graphic silhouette. With just 3 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida, it's striking and modern.

A little stitcher's folklore: in Britain and Japan a black cat in your arms is a sign of good luck and prosperity. Stitchers say this one brings luck wherever it's hung.

Why this kit: if you love black cats and minimalist design, this is one of the simplest RTO kits — just 3 colours — and perfect for a beginner. A great gift for cat owners and part of the Among Black Cats series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 3 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the yellow eyes, then fill the black silhouette section by section. The white hands are formed by the open fabric.

Finished size: 20.5×14 cm (8.07×5.51 in). A bold, graphic cat picture to frame and a fun gift for cat lovers.
