Stitch Dandy Lion, a cross stitch kit with a printed background by RTO from the Samples from the Lab series — a sweet lion cub whose mane is a fluffy dandelion clock sits over a printed laboratory-notebook sketch with notes and doodles. You stitch the cub in 21 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Linda evenweave.

A little stitcher's folklore: blowing a dandelion clock and making a wish is an old childhood charm, and whoever blows all the seeds away gets their wish. Stitchers say this little lion is full of wishes.

Why this kit: if you love witty, imaginative designs, this dandelion lion is charming and the printed background means less stitching. A fun gift for children's rooms and anyone who loves a good pun.

Kit includes: white Linda evenweave (100% cotton) with a sketch-style background printed on it, DMC stranded cotton in 21 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the cub's face and eyes, then the soft fur. Finish with the fluffy dandelion mane; the printed notebook sketch stays as it is.

Finished size: 23×32 cm (9.06×12.6 in). A witty nursery picture to frame and a charming handmade gift.
