Stitch Hop-Corn, a cross stitch kit with a printed background by RTO from the Samples from the Lab series — two fluffy cream bunnies sit beside corn cobs bursting into popcorn, over a printed laboratory-notebook sketch. You stitch the bunnies and corn in 22 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Linda evenweave.

A little stitcher's folklore: rabbits are an old symbol of luck and plenty, and saying "rabbit, rabbit" on the first day of the month was said to bring good fortune. Stitchers say these two pop up luck wherever they go.

Why this kit: if you love witty, imaginative designs, these popcorn bunnies are adorable and the printed background means less stitching. A fun Easter or nursery gift.

Kit includes: white Linda evenweave (100% cotton) with a sketch-style background printed on it, DMC stranded cotton in 22 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the bunnies' eyes, noses and ears, then the fluffy cream fur. Finish with the golden corn and white popcorn; the printed sketch stays as it is.

Finished size: 32.5×22.5 cm (12.8×8.86 in). A witty, cheerful picture to frame and a fun handmade gift.
