Stitch Refreshment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a fluffy brown and tan puppy with soulful dark eyes lies down to nibble a pink wrapped candy it has found. Worked in 19 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a puppy that shares your treats was said to share your luck too — and a sweet in the paws means a sweet day ahead. Stitchers say this one isn't sharing this time.

Why this kit: if you love dogs, this cheeky puppy is adorable and fun to stitch. A great gift for dog owners, kids' rooms and anyone with a sweet tooth.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 19 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the eyes and nose, then build up the fluffy fur from the darker areas outward. Finish with the pink candy wrapper.

Finished size: 20×20 cm (7.87×7.87 in). A cute puppy picture to frame and a fun gift for dog lovers.
