Stitch In the Haze of Pink Flowers, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a girl drawn in fine black lines, with long flowing hair, a crown of soft pink flowers and a black dress with a white collar. Worked in 13 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 18-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a crown of flowers worn on midsummer's eve was said to show a girl who her true love would be. Stitchers say this one already knows.

Why this kit: if you love modern line art and delicate portraits, this elegant design is simple and quick to stitch. A lovely gift for a daughter, sister or best friend.

Kit includes: 18-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 13 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the pink flowers of the crown, then the black dress. Finish with the fine lines of the face and hair in backstitch.

Finished size: 14×20 cm (5.51×7.87 in). An elegant modern portrait to frame and a thoughtful handmade gift.
