Stitch Magnolia Flowers, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a long, twisting magnolia branch stretches across the fabric with four pink blooms and buds along its length. Worked in 32 colours of DMC stranded cotton on grey-beige Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: magnolias are a symbol of perseverance and beauty, and a magnolia branch in the home was said to bring love that lasts. Stitchers say this one blossoms for a lifetime.

Why this kit: if you love elegant spring flowers, this wide design is perfect over a sofa, bed or mantel. A lovely gift for gardeners, and it completes the set with RTO's other magnolia designs.

Kit includes: 14-count grey-beige Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 32 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Work the blooms one at a time, from the deepest pink to the palest petals. Finish by joining them with the long brown branch.

Finished size: 25.5×16.5 cm (10.04×6.5 in). A wide floral picture to frame and a beautiful handmade gift.
