Stitch Wonderful and Sublime World, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a little white mouse in a green knitted hat, a long yellow scarf and a blue coat sets off on an adventure, carrying a travel suitcase in one paw and a pink rose in the other. Worked in 24 colours of DMC stranded cotton on mustard Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a mouse setting off on a journey was said to find its way home again with a pocket full of stories. Stitchers say this one is off to see the whole world.

Why this kit: if you love sweet, story-book characters, this travelling mouse is small, quick and full of charm. A lovely gift for travellers, and a pair with RTO's Mouse in Love.

Kit includes: 16-count mustard Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 24 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the mouse's face, ears and pink nose, then the green hat and yellow scarf. Finish with the blue coat, the suitcase and the rose.

Finished size: 14×20 cm (5.51×7.87 in). A charming story-book picture to frame and a sweet bon-voyage gift.
