Stitch Sunny Day, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a snowy village of wooden houses with colourful walls sits beside a winding blue river, with bare golden trees and snow-covered banks glowing in the winter sun. Worked in 46 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a sunny winter's day after heavy snow was said to promise a good harvest the following year. Stitchers say this village is in for a golden summer.

Why this kit: if you love peaceful winter landscapes, this sunlit village scene is calm and rewarding to stitch. A lovely gift for winter and Christmas decor.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 46 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the houses and their colourful walls, then the bare trees. Finish with the river, its reflections and the snowy banks.

Finished size: 30×22.5 cm (11.81×8.86 in). A bright winter village picture to frame and a memorable handmade gift.
