Stitch Tulips and Daffodils, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a lush spring bouquet of red, coral, burgundy and yellow tulips with white daffodils, arranged in a tall blue jug and painted in soft watercolour. Worked in 50 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: tulips and daffodils are the first flowers of spring, and bringing them indoors was said to bring happiness and good fortune for the year. Stitchers say this bouquet brings spring early.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 50 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the tulip heads, working the deepest reds first, then the daffodils and leaves. Finish with the blue jug and its soft shadow.

Finished size: 21×29.5 cm (8.27×11.61 in). A spring floral picture to frame and a beautiful handmade gift.
