Stitch Encounter, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a young red fox rests in snowy grass, looking straight at you with bright eyes, in front of a pale forest of frosted trees. Worked in 32 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: meeting a fox's gaze in the snow was said to be a sign of cleverness and good luck on the road ahead. Stitchers say this one is pleased to see you.

Why this kit: if you love foxes and soft winter scenes, this calm encounter is beautiful and satisfying to stitch. A lovely gift for nature lovers and winter decor.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 32 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the fox's eyes and face, then build up the orange and cream fur. Finish with the frosty grass and the pale trees.

Finished size: 23.5×28.5 cm (9.25×11.22 in). A gentle winter picture to frame and a lovely gift for fox lovers.

So cute! I love this counted cross stitch picture. The fox is adorable. Will be back for other kits.
