Stitch Warmth in Palms, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a black kitten with a white chest and wide yellow eyes curls up safely in two gentle hands drawn in fine lines, within a soft oval. Worked in 16 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a black kitten that chooses you is said to bring luck for life. Stitchers say this one has already chosen.

Why this kit: if you love black cats and tender designs, this kitten is a quick, heart-warming stitch. A lovely gift for cat owners, and part of RTO's Warmth in Palms series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 16 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the yellow eyes, then fill the black fur and the white chest. Finish with the fine outlines of the hands.

Finished size: 16.5×21.5 cm (6.5×8.46 in). A tender kitten picture to frame and a heartfelt gift for cat lovers.
