Stitch Spring Decoration, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a little blue tit wearing a pink flower like a hat perches on a branch among pink blossoms and golden leaves. Worked in 34 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a blue tit at your window was said to bring cheerful news, and birds wearing blossoms were a sign that spring had truly arrived. Stitchers say this little one is dressed up for the season.

Why this kit: if you love garden birds and sweet spring designs, this blue tit is charming and quick to stitch. A lovely gift for bird lovers and spring birthdays.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 34 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the bird's blue cap, eye and yellow breast, then the pink flower hat. Finish with the branch, blossoms and leaves.

Finished size: 16.5×17.5 cm (6.5×6.89 in). A sweet spring bird picture to frame and a lovely handmade gift.
