Stitch On Duty Through November, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a man carries a bundle along a snowy street past an old house with a turret and warm, glowing windows, while snow falls through the bare branches of a big tree. Worked in DMC stranded cotton on 14-count grey Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a light left burning in the window was said to guide travellers safely home through the first snows. Stitchers say this house is waiting up for him.

Why this kit: if you love atmospheric winter scenes, this snowy street is cosy, nostalgic and a rewarding stitch. A lovely gift for winter and Christmas.

Kit includes: 14-count grey Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in all the colours you need, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the glowing yellow windows, then the house and the figure. Finish with the bare tree branches and the falling snow.

Finished size: 36×26.5 cm (14.17×10.43 in). A cosy winter street picture to frame and a memorable handmade gift.
