Stitch Colourful Flowers, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — delicate blue flax blossoms and purple wildflowers sway on slender green stems among soft, silvery grasses. Worked in DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: blue flax flowers were once scattered in the linen chest to keep the cloth white and the household lucky. Stitchers say these flowers keep a home bright.

Why this kit: if you love botanical prints and meadow flowers, this light, airy bouquet is elegant and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift for gardeners, and a set with RTO's Juniper, Thistle and Cowberry.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in all the colours you need, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the blue and purple flower heads, then the green stems and leaves. Finish with the delicate silvery grasses.

Finished size: 19×24 cm (7.48×9.45 in). An elegant wildflower picture to frame and a lovely handmade gift.
