Stitch Good Morning, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — two brown hares touch noses in a snowy birch forest, their bodies forming a heart around the bright winter sunrise, with red rowan berries hanging above. Worked in 46 colours of DMC stranded cotton on white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: hares were once thought to be magical animals of the moon, and two hares meeting at dawn were a sign of true love. Stitchers say these two are saying good morning to each other for ever.

Why this kit: if you love woodland animals and romantic designs, this heart-shaped pair is beautiful and meaningful. A perfect wedding, anniversary or Valentine's gift.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 46 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the hares' eyes and noses, then build up their brown fur. Finish with the glowing heart of light, the birch trees and the red berries.

Finished size: 27×27 cm (10.63×10.63 in). A romantic woodland picture to frame and a heartfelt anniversary gift.
