Stitch In the Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a glass jug of blue forget-me-nots and little yellow flowers stands on a sunny window sill, with an old key hanging on a ribbon beside the window. Worked in 34 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: forget-me-nots were given so that a loved one would never forget you, and an old key by the window was said to keep the house safe. Stitchers say this window holds happy memories.

Why this kit: if you love cottage details and soft blue flowers, this small still life is gentle and quick to stitch. A lovely keepsake gift, and part of RTO's In the Moment series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 34 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the blue forget-me-nots and yellow flowers, then the glass jug. Finish with the window frame, the key and the sunlight.

Finished size: 11.5×17.5 cm (4.53×6.89 in). A gentle little still life to frame and a thoughtful handmade gift.
