Stitch In the Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — tall golden dune grass sways on a white sand dune, with turquoise waves rolling in under a bright summer sky. Worked in 36 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: old seafarers said the dune grass bends towards home, so a traveller lost on the beach need only follow it. Stitchers say this one points the way to summer.

Why this kit: if you love beaches and bright summer colour, this small dune scene is fresh, quick and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift for beach lovers, and part of RTO's In the Moment series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 36 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the golden grass and seed heads, then the sand dune and its blue shadows. Finish with the turquoise waves and sky.

Finished size: 12×17.5 cm (4.72×6.89 in). A bright little beach picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
