Stitch In the Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — pink and purple wildflowers cover a coastal hillside above a calm bay, with a green mountain and white clouds rising beyond. Worked in 43 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: wildflowers blooming right down to the sea were said to promise a long, warm summer. Stitchers say this coast is always in bloom.

Why this kit: if you love coastal walks and wildflower meadows, this small scene is bright, fresh and quick to finish. A lovely gift for hikers, and part of RTO's In the Moment series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 43 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the pink and purple flowers in the foreground, then the green stems. Finish with the bay, the mountain and the clouds.

Finished size: 12×17.5 cm (4.72×6.89 in). A fresh little coastal picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
