Stitch In the Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — branches of bright pink rhododendron lean over a rushing turquoise mountain river, with green hills and snowy peaks in the distance. Worked in 35 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: running water was said to carry away sorrow, so people once whispered their worries into mountain rivers. Stitchers say this one leaves only the flowers behind.

Why this kit: if you love mountain landscapes and flowers, this small river scene is fresh, lively and quick to stitch. A lovely gift for hikers, and a pair with RTO's In the Moment Stream.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 35 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the pink flowers and their branches, then the white and turquoise water. Finish with the green hills and snowy peaks.

Finished size: 13×19 cm (5.12×7.48 in). A fresh little mountain picture to frame and a quick handmade gift.
