Stitch Stone Family, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a family of smooth, rounded stones rests in a crystal-clear stream, framed by mossy rocks and small autumn plants in gold and orange. Worked in 44 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: a smooth stone taken from a stream was kept in the pocket as a charm for calm and patience. Stitchers say this whole family brings peace to the house.

Why this kit: if you love quiet, meditative nature scenes, this clear stream is soothing to look at and satisfying to stitch. A lovely gift for families and nature lovers.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 44 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the smooth grey stones and their shadows, then the mossy rocks. Finish with the autumn plants and the clear water.

Finished size: 25.5×21 cm (10.04×8.27 in). A peaceful nature picture to frame and a thoughtful family gift.
