Stitch Roe Deer, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a little roe deer stands among tall trees in a snowy forest beside a frozen stream, framed by an oval wreath of twigs and small blue flowers. Worked in 37 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: seeing a roe deer in the winter forest was said to be a sign of gentleness and a peaceful year ahead. Stitchers say this one brings calm to any room.

Why this kit: if you love woodland animals and winter scenes, this framed forest view is gentle and satisfying to stitch. A lovely gift for nature lovers.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 37 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the roe deer and the tree trunks, then the snow and the stream. Finish with the oval wreath of twigs and blue flowers.

Finished size: 28×22.5 cm (11.02×8.86 in). A gentle winter forest picture to frame and a lovely handmade gift.
