Stitch Dawn Hour, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — a tall pine stands on a rocky slope above a misty northern lake at dawn, with small forested islands and pink light glowing on the water. Worked in 46 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 14-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: the first light of dawn was said to wash the world clean, and anyone who saw it over a lake would have a lucky day. Stitchers say this dawn is worth getting up for.

Why this kit: if you love peaceful northern landscapes, this misty lake at dawn is calm and rewarding to stitch. A lovely gift for nature lovers and cabin homes.

Kit includes: 14-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 46 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the tall pine and rocky slope, then the islands. Finish with the soft pink mist and the still water.

Finished size: 25.5×20 cm (10.04×7.87 in). A peaceful dawn picture to frame and a calming handmade gift.
