Stitch In the Moment, a counted cross stitch kit by RTO — tall pink spires of purple loosestrife rise from green grass on a sandy lake shore, under a bright sky of white summer clouds. Worked in 44 colours of DMC stranded cotton on 16-count white Aida.

A little stitcher's folklore: loosestrife got its name from an old belief that it calmed quarrels — even between oxen yoked together. Stitchers say this one brings peace to any room.

Why this kit: if you love lakes and wildflowers, this bright summer shore is fresh and relaxing to stitch. A lovely gift for nature lovers, and part of RTO's In the Moment series.

Kit includes: 16-count white Zweigart Aida (100% cotton), DMC stranded cotton in 44 colours, a needle, a colour symbol chart and instructions. A frame and hoop are not included.

Start with the pink flower spires, then the green grass. Finish with the blue lake, the sandy shore and the summer clouds.

Finished size: 15.5×19 cm (6.1×7.48 in). A bright summer lake picture to frame and a lovely handmade gift.
