A round dessert cafe with a pink lattice dome crowned by a little bow: upstairs a sitting room with a tiny chandelier and oval windows, downstairs a pastry counter and a Welcome sign behind flower boxes, a spiral staircase climbing the outside, and a red umbrella over an outdoor table. At night the dome glows like a lantern.

A little crafter's folklore: bakers say dessert tastes sweeter under a pink roof, and miniaturists like to add one extra cake to the counter.

Why this kit: if you love sweet, pretty builds, this round pavilion cafe stands out from square room boxes, with two lit floors.

In the box: pre-cut wooden pieces, wallpaper and fabric pieces, miniature furniture and finely detailed accessories, built-in LED lights, and illustrated step-by-step instructions. Not included: batteries, glue and scissors.

Pair it with the Happy Moments Book Cafe Street or Wonderful Garden Cottage. Build tip: fit and glue the wall panels into the shell first, add wallpaper and fabric before the furniture, place the smallest accessories with tweezers, and wire in the lights last.

Size: 22 x 22 x 25.4 cm (8.7 x 8.7 x 10.0 in). A charming centrepiece for a shelf or dressing table, and a gift for dessert lovers. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
