Japanese Villa builds into a two-story residence wrapped around its own courtyard, with a blossoming cherry tree rising beside a small in-ground pool complete with a rubber duck, a blue paper parasol shading an outdoor lounger, and a wood-decked terrace furnished for outdoor dining. Rather than the koi pond suggested by the design name, the water feature reads as a small courtyard pool, but the overall effect, with sliding glass doors, bamboo plantings, and a quiet garden at the heart of the home, still delivers the serene residential feel the design is going for.

Why this kit: the flowering cherry tree is one of the most striking single features in the Wizardi Japanese lineup; the courtyard pool and shaded lounge area add a resort-like touch not seen in the other villa kits; and the sliding glass walls let the interior rooms and garden read as one continuous scene.

Kit includes: pre-cut wooden pieces, fabric swatches, miniature furniture, and finely detailed accessories for the interior rooms and courtyard, plus built-in LED lights for a warm, atmospheric glow. Scissors and glue are needed to complete the build and are not included. Dimensions: 11.8 x 9.84 x 8.26 inches.

The build follows the standard roombox technique: pre-cut wooden panels are fitted and glued into the shell to form the rooms and courtyard structure, fabric and wallpaper pieces dress the interior surfaces, the miniature furniture and garden accessories are placed by hand, and the included LED lighting is wired in last for the finished glow.

Recommended for ages 14 and up, this is an ambitious, rewarding build for experienced crafters and a strong centerpiece for anyone who loves Japanese residential architecture.
