A two-level apartment done entirely in blush pink and cream: upstairs a bed dressed in pink linens with a vanity table and a small bathroom, a white staircase leading down to a pink kitchen, a dining table set for two, and a living room with a tufted sofa, a floor lamp and a flowering tree by the window.

A little crafter's folklore: dreamers say a pink room makes for sweet dreams, and miniaturists like to leave a tiny flower on the pillow.

Why this kit: if you love pink, this loft carries one soft colour scheme through every room, a pretty two-storey build with warm lights.

In the box: pre-cut wooden pieces, wallpaper and fabric pieces, miniature furniture and finely detailed accessories, built-in LED lights, and illustrated step-by-step instructions. Not included: batteries, glue and scissors.

Pair it with the Pink Cute Loft or Sage Green Modern Loft. Build tip: fit and glue the wall panels into the shell first, add wallpaper and fabric before the furniture, place the smallest accessories with tweezers, and wire in the lights last.

Size: 28 x 19 x 16.5 cm (11.0 x 7.5 x 6.5 in). A dreamy dressing table or shelf display, and a gift for anyone who loves pink. Recommended for ages 14 and up.

My 9 year old and I had an incredibly hard and frustrating time assembling tiny pieces of wood with school glue that was included. We tried wood glue I had with equally bad results. It is disappointing.
