Build a morning glory, a mini building block flower kit by Wizardi: a wide open lavender trumpet bloom with purple stamens rises on a green stem with broad leaves, and tiny flowers and pebbles fill the white planter.

A little builder's folklore: the morning glory opens with the sunrise, so gardeners call it the flower of new mornings and fresh hopes.

Why this kit: if you love soft lilac, this little morning glory is a calm, pretty build for a bedside table.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the flower, stem, leaves, tiny garden details and the white planter, and an illustrated instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the planter and its little garden of pebbles and tiny flowers, then the stem, leaves and the bloom. Collect the series and line them up on a windowsill or shelf; they never need watering.

Size: about 8 x 8 x 15 cm (3 x 3 x 6 in). 129 pieces. A cheerful little desk gift, a party favour or a stocking stuffer, and a relaxing build you can finish in an evening. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
