Melchior Wise Man Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 10 in by Wizardi F07AM9-74-N01849B

Bring the Christmas story home with Melchior, a wooden Wise Man nutcracker by Wizardi — a king in a gold crown over a blue head cloth, a long white faux-fur beard, and a pink velvet robe trimmed with white lace and red jewels under a golden velvet cape edged in silver. He carries a golden gift for the newborn king, with green sleeves and green boots on a magenta base trimmed in gold.

A little collector's folklore: the Three Kings followed the star to Bethlehem with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh, and Melchior, the eldest, is traditionally the king who brought gold. In many countries they are celebrated on Epiphany, the twelfth day of Christmas.

Why this nutcracker: if you want decor that honours the meaning of Christmas, a Wise Man nutcracker is a beautiful, faith-inspired choice. The velvet robe and cape feel rich and special, and at under 10 inches he fits a shelf or nativity display.

In the box: one Melchior Wise Man nutcracker in painted wood with a faux-fur beard and velvet robe and cape, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Complete the Three Kings with Caspar and Balthazar (F07AM9-74-N01849A and C), or set them near a nativity scene. Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 25 cm tall (9.8 in). Christmas nativity and shelf decor, and a meaningful gift for families, churches and nutcracker collectors.
