Build a pink moon echeveria, a mini building block plant kit by Wizardi: a tiered rosette of pale pink and soft lavender rounded leaves catches the light like moonlight, and two slender stems arch up with small yellow buds, in a rounded terracotta pot with a cream band.

A little builder's folklore: moon-coloured succulents are said to bring calm dreams, which makes them a favourite for the bedside table.

Why this kit: if you love soft pastels, this pink and lavender rosette is one of the prettiest plants in the series.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the plant and its little rust-orange pot, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the pot and finishing with the leaves and flowers. It is a quick, relaxing build for one evening; collect the series and line the pots up on a windowsill or desk, and they never need watering.

A cheerful little gift for a plant lover, a coworker or a teacher, a stocking stuffer, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
