Build pink hibiscus, a building block flower kit by Wizardi: a big ruffled pink hibiscus and a smaller bloom with golden stamens open on tall green stems with fresh leaves, and little buds and pebbles fill a terracotta-style pot.

A little builder's folklore: in the tropics a hibiscus flower is offered as a warm welcome, and a pot by the door is said to greet every guest.

Why this kit: if you want a mid-sized flower that fits a desk, this pink hibiscus is soft, pretty and relaxing to build.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the flowers, stems, leaves and the terracotta-style pot, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, building the terracotta-style pot first, then the stems, leaves and blooms. It stands about 8 inches tall, just right for a desk, bookshelf or windowsill, and never needs watering.

Size: about 10 x 10 x 20 cm (3.9 x 3.9 x 7.9 in). 315 pieces. A lasting flower gift for mom, a friend, a teacher or a coworker, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
