Build a pink sedum, a mini building block plant kit by Wizardi: three curving olive-green stems fan out into clusters of soft pink finger-like pods, with a small flower on the tallest stem and pebble accents in a rust-orange pot.

A little builder's folklore: sedum is called stonecrop because it thrives where nothing else grows, a sign of resilience and good fortune.

Why this kit: if you like soft textures, the plump pink pods make this a cosy little plant for any shelf.

In the box: ABS building bricks for the plant and its little rust-orange pot, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: press the bricks together by hand following the numbered steps, starting with the pot and finishing with the leaves and flowers. It is a quick, relaxing build for one evening; collect the series and line the pots up on a windowsill or desk, and they never need watering.

A cheerful little gift for a plant lover, a coworker or a teacher, a stocking stuffer, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
