Build an echeveria and cactus garden, a building block succulent set of 4 by Wizardi: a large mint echeveria rosette, a little branching tree covered with yellow blooms, an upright green cactus dotted with orange flowers and a soft pink rosette each sit in their own tiny pot.

A little builder's folklore: echeverias are called hen and chicks because they multiply, so they are said to bring a growing family and good luck.

Why this kit: if you love pastel succulents, this set mixes soft mint and pink with bright little blooms.

In the box: ABS building bricks for four little potted plants and their pots, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: build the four plants one at a time following the numbered steps, starting each with its pot. Group them together as a mini succulent garden on a desk or windowsill, or spread them around the house; they never need watering.

A lasting flower gift for mom, a friend, a teacher or a coworker, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
