Build a cascading rose garden, a building block succulent set of 4 by Wizardi: pink rose-shaped blooms with green leaves spill over the edge of a copper pot, a red flower cluster with yellow centres rises from a terracotta pot, and a small teal crystal succulent and a pale blue crystal flower complete the set.

A little builder's folklore: trailing roses are said to carry good wishes over the edge of the pot and out into the whole home.

Why this kit: if you love roses, the trailing pink blooms give this set a soft, overflowing silhouette unlike the upright pieces.

In the box: ABS building bricks for four little potted plants and their pots, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: build the four plants one at a time following the numbered steps, starting each with its pot. Group them together as a mini succulent garden on a desk or windowsill, or spread them around the house; they never need watering.

A lasting flower gift for mom, a friend, a teacher or a coworker, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
