Build a blue coral bonsai garden, a building block succulent set of 4 by Wizardi: a pale blue coral-branch succulent in a white pot, a two-stem plant topped with pink pom-pom blooms, a bonsai-style branching plant dotted with red berries and green calyxes, and a green pointed-leaf rosette in a yellow pot.

A little builder's folklore: a tiny bonsai is said to bring patience and balance, a reminder to slow down on busy days.

Why this kit: if you love bonsai, the branching trunk gives this set a sculptural, tree-like look.

In the box: ABS building bricks for four little potted plants and their pots, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: glue or tools, because none are needed.

How to build and display: build the four plants one at a time following the numbered steps, starting each with its pot. Group them together as a mini succulent garden on a desk or windowsill, or spread them around the house; they never need watering.

A lasting flower gift for mom, a friend, a teacher or a coworker, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
