Rabbit in Flowers Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle by Wizardi F07N9-2

Piece together a rabbit in flowers, a wooden jigsaw puzzle by Wizardi: a fluffy grey-and-white rabbit with tall upright ears and dark eyes sits in a ring of pink, purple, orange and blue flowers, its mottled fur painted in fine brushwork.

A little puzzler's folklore: a rabbit's foot has long been a lucky charm, and a rabbit puzzle keeps all four feet attached.

Why this puzzle: if you love sweet animal art, the soft fur and bright flowers give lots of texture to piece together.

In the box: laser-cut wooden pieces printed with the picture, a mix of classic interlocking pieces and whimsy pieces cut as little animals and figures such as giraffes, butterflies and dragonflies, packed in a gift box with the full picture on the front for reference. The box rates it 5A Challenger. Not included: a puzzle board or frame.

How to build it: turn every piece picture-side up, pick out the straight edges and the whimsy figures first, then sort the rest by colour and build inwards, using the box picture as your guide; the wood pieces lock firmly, so a finished section can be moved without falling apart.

Finished size 29.5 x 29.5 cm (11.6 x 11.6 in), a square A3 picture, so it fits a coffee table while you work and a frame afterwards; a lovely gift for puzzle fans, animal and nature lovers and anyone who wants a calm, screen-free evening, and it goes back in the box to build again.
