Highland King with Spear Christmas Wooden Nutcracker 15 in by Wizardi F07AM9-23-N01890C

Bring Highland charm to the holidays with the Highland King, a wooden Christmas nutcracker by Wizardi — a king in a white dome crown with a red jeweled band, a fluffy white beard under a curled moustache, and a long tan faux-fur hood and cape over a green and black tartan plaid tunic. He holds a gold spear tied with a red velvet bow, with red and white fur-trimmed trousers and black boots on a red base edged in gold.

A little collector's folklore: in the Scottish Highlands the long winter nights were once warmed by feasts, music and tartan, and collectors say this king keeps the fire burning until the New Year.

Why this nutcracker: if you love a rustic, cabin or tartan Christmas, the fur cape and plaid make him a cosy, unusual king. At 15 inches he stands out on a mantel or entry table, and he is also available at 10 inches.

In the box: one Highland King nutcracker in painted wood with a faux-fur hood, cape and beard, a fabric plaid tunic and a spear, packed in a red gift box with a window. A decorative nutcracker, not intended for cracking nuts. Ready to display, no assembly needed.

Complete the woodland trio with the lumberjack and the soldier with Christmas tree (F07AM9-23-N01890A and B), or choose the 10 inch version (F07AM9-22-N01890C). Dust with a soft, dry brush and keep away from moisture and heat. A decoration, not a toy.

Size: 38 cm tall (15 in). Rustic tartan Christmas decor, and a cosy gift for anyone who loves a Scottish theme.
