This string art kit includes the materials needed to create a whale design using thread and nails on a wooden board. The finished piece features a blue whale it and can be displayed as handmade wall or tabletop decor.

Why this kit: the two-tone blue-and-cream body gives the whale a soft, gradient-like finish; the larger scale allows more thread detail in the body and fin than the compact version; the playful water-spout accents add motion to the design.

Kit includes: a pre-printed wooden board, nails, multiple colors of thread, step-by-step instructions, and a display stand. Dimensions: 15 x 20 cm / 5.90 x 7.87 in.

Nails are pressed into the board following the printed whale and water-spout outlines, then thread is wound back and forth to fill in the body, belly and spout droplets in turn. No painting or gluing required.

A quick beginner project, this friendly whale design suits a child's room, nursery, or nautical-themed space, and makes an easy handmade gift.
