A big red heart with a smaller blue heart tucked over its lower edge fills this round pine board. It is a DIY string art kit: you set the nails, wind the thread and end up with a piece of wall or shelf decor you made yourself.

A heart has stood for love since medieval artists began drawing it in the 1300s, and it is still the design people reach for first when they want to say something without words. String art boomed as a home craft in the 1960s and 70s, when boards of nails and colored thread hung in living rooms everywhere; this kit brings the idea back in a cleaner, modern style.
