Heart Balloons House String Art Kit by Wizardi M1-3 DHACE28038

A bunch of heart-shaped balloons in pink, blue, yellow, green and red lifts a little gold house with a red heart window. It is a DIY string art kit: you set the nails, wind the thread and end up with a piece of wall or shelf decor you made yourself.

A little house lifted by a bunch of heart balloons is a sweet image of home, love and adventure all at once. Thread art needs no drawing skill: the nails set the outline and the thread does the shading, which is why it has stayed a favorite relaxing craft for decades.

Why this kit: the largest picture boards in our string art range, for a real wall or shelf statement; pre-drilled holes and illustrated instructions, so a beginner can finish it with confidence; and a fold-out stand and adhesive pad, so it can stand or hang.

Kit includes: a pre-drilled wooden board, a bag of nails, spools of colored thread, a fold-out stand with an adhesive pad, a small hammer and illustrated instructions. Not included: scissors for trimming the thread ends.

Tap the nails into the pre-drilled holes with the small hammer, tie the thread to a starting nail, outline the shape first and then fill it in with criss-cross passes, one color at a time, finishing with a small knot. The nails are small and sharp, so it is a project for adults, teens and older children working with an adult.

The finished piece measures about 21 x 30 cm (8.3 x 11.8 in). It is a natural fit for a bedroom, a nursery or a new home, and makes a thoughtful gift for newlyweds, new homeowners or a Valentine.
