Needle felting is worked by layering small tufts of wool and repeatedly poking them with a barbed felting needle, which tangles the fibers together and gradually compacts and shapes them into a firm 3D form. Work section by section — the round body and head, then the ear and eye patches and paws — following the included instructions to build up the panda's markings.
