Detective Decrypt Alley DIY Book Nook Kit 9 in by Wizardi F07AM15-8-68062

A narrow cobbled alley called the 18th Street runs between your books: a Detective Decrypt sign hangs above, gas lamps light the brick walls, an old car is parked by a doorway, a detective in a long coat studies the clues, and a Spy Mystery Cases poster covers the side panel. Switch on the touch light and the alley glows like a foggy night case.

A little crafter's folklore: mystery readers say every alley has a secret, and miniaturists like to hide one tiny clue in the scene for friends to find.

Why this kit: if you love mystery novels and detective stories, this moody alley is a perfect book nook, 234 pieces with a touch light.

In the box: laser-cut wooden sheets for the book nook case and the layered scene, printed figure, sign and backdrop pieces, tiny accessories, an LED light with a touch switch and battery box, and an illustrated instruction manual. Not included: batteries, glue and small tools such as tweezers.

Part of a wooden book nook series of the same slim depth, made to slide between your books on a shelf, each lit for a day-and-night look. Build tip: build the scene floors from the bottom up, route the light wire as you go and test it before closing the side panels, then fit the roof decoration last. Pair it with Salton's Retro Bookstore and the Retro Route 66 Garage book nooks.

Size: 19.5 x 10 x 22.8 cm (7.7 x 3.9 x 9.0 in), 234 wooden pieces. A bookshelf insert that glows between your books, and a memorable gift for readers. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
