Build a pink carnation fence planter, a wooden flower 3D puzzle kit by Wizardi: ruffled pink and coral carnations bloom on green stems with slender leaves, a little bee visits the flowers, and the bouquet stands in a white picket fence planter.

A little builder's folklore: carnations are the classic Mother's Day flower, said to stand for a mother's never-ending love.

Why this kit: if you want a Mother's Day or birthday gift that lasts, these carnations never wilt and look sweet on any shelf.

In the box: laser-cut wooden sheets with printed pieces for the flowers, leaves, stems and planter, and an illustrated step-by-step instruction booklet. Not included: special tools, because the pieces press out of the sheets by hand.

How to build and display: press each piece out of its sheet, assemble the planter first, then add the stems, leaves and blooms following the numbered steps. Stand it on a desk, shelf or windowsill; it never wilts, and a soft brush keeps it dust-free.

Size: 13.5 x 12 x 19.5 cm (5.3 x 4.7 x 7.7 in). 153 pieces. A lasting flower gift for mom, a teacher or a friend, and a calm screen-free hobby for adults and teens. Recommended for ages 14 and up; small parts, keep away from young children.
